Only carefully selected fruit from the 30+ year old vines at Beaumont's Walker Bay estate are used in the production of this, their flagship Chenin. After pressing the wine is left to ferment naturally with minimum intervention. Matured in 400 litre oak barrels, and left on the lees for 10 months giving the wine a richer and fuller palate. Green apples, dried apricot and almond, with perfect integration of the oak. Excellent now but with the potential to develpe beautifully over the next 5 - 8 years in bottle.
