This wine is named after the tall perching posts dotted round the vineyard to attract buzzards, which in turn keep smaller birds away from the ripening vines. Winemaker Callie Louw encourages biodiversity in the vinyards with as little chemical spraying as possible. His Raptor Post is a rich, spicy blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Mouvedre and Syrah. Made from low yielding vines it is powerful and concentrated with firm tannins making it the perfect partner for hearty stews and casseroles.
