A conversation stopping wine. Very few plantings of this grape variety are to be found in the cape, but we are so glad they planted it at Umkhulu!

Deep ruby colour, intense nose of vanilla (from 10 months in French Oak ), ripe brambles and eucalyptus, and for those who have experienced it there is a touch of cape Fynbos there as well. Perhaps a lighter style than it's Umkhulu cousins, but with complex layers of berry fruit and a long clean finish.  Mature and balanced. I just love this unique wine and urge you try it. 85 points Wine Spectator.
