The wines we have selected for the rose section are very different in style to the sweeter offerings which have appeared on our supermarket shelves in recent years following the huge increase in demand for these wines.
Shiraz and Pinotage are both used to produce rosé wines of real character. Certainly no sweeter than off-dry, we feel they are perhaps more serious and interesting than those styles being produced elsewhere in the New World. One of my Francophile friends said the MAN vintners compared very favourably to a good Tavel, which is praise indeed. The Klippenkop is a delightfully refeshing drink on a warm summer's afternoon. Well, we can alway's dream, can't we?
